How it works

A check-in, recorded under published rules

AXU is a simple routine: start a session, and the points for it are recorded on our servers. Here is exactly what happens, and what doesn't.

1. You start a session

Press Start in the app. A session lasts three hours, measured by our server clock, not your device. Your phone does no computing during a session and uses no extra battery. When it ends you can start the next one; we can send a notification if you allow it.

2. A sponsor message funds the pool

A sponsor message appears when you start. Your session runs whether or not it loads. Sponsor revenue funds a shared daily pool, and the pool can never be larger than what sponsors actually paid, nor larger than the epoch budget fixed in the chain code. Sessions without a confirmed sponsor message are recorded at a reduced rate.

3. Points are recorded, then held

When a session ends, its points are recorded under the rule version that was in force when it started. They are held for a short period so we can reverse fraud and partner clawbacks, then they become available. Every entry shows its state, the rule version, and the date it becomes available.

4. Every rule and change is public

The base rate, multipliers, hold periods and pool formula are on the transparency page. When we change any of them, the change is published there within 24 hours with its version, date and reason.

What we don't promise

Nothing is mined on your device. Points have no cash value and can't be sold or transferred. Read the rules
